Joe Solimine Sr, was recently diagnosed with Leukemia. Whether you know him as a dad, husband, grandfather, coach, volunteer, joke-teller, or civil servant, one thing remains clear – Joe is a great guy! As we struggled with how best to help Joe through this difficult journey, we realized that so many people who love him (like we do!) will want to help too.
Team Snooks (as his grandchildren call him) was created to help Joe, and others like him, tackle this disease.
Starting on 3/7, Team Snooks is embarking on our own journey in honor of Joe. The way we see it–The Time Is Now.
Here’s How You Can Help:
Swab for Snooks
As part of his treatment, Joe will be undergoing a bone marrow transplant. We are organizing a Bone Marrow Donor Drive to help find a match for Joe and others like him. Come by to volunteer, learn, register, have a snack and Swab for Snooks!
Date: Saturday April 13, 2013
Location: Pelham Country Club
We need 50 volunteers to help the event run smoothly. If you’d like to give your time, please contact Jennifer Solimine at [email protected].
Joe Solimine, Sr. for LLS Man of the Year
Beginning on 3/7, Team Snooks kicks off Joe’s Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Man of the Year Campaign. In these short 10 weeks, we will attempt to raise funds in honor of Joe and aimed at finding a cure for blood cancers.
